UPCOMING SHOWS

OCT. 5TH-- FLOORE'S COUNTRY STORE
WHERE DID YOU GET THE NAME?

We named our band after a classic blues song that
took on a modern sound when Eric Clapton applied
his signature electric guitar sound to it.  Crossroads
– an intersection of new and old, a meeting place
where we mix together our Texas roadhouse stew
of blues, rock, country, jazz, soul and Latin
influences.  Crossroads is where five musicians who
love to play fall to their knees and offer their own
style and sound at the altar of the great ones who
showed the way – Stevie Ray, the Allman Bros., ZZ
Top, Santana, Seger, Creedence, the Doors and many
more.
ABOUT OUR SHOWS:

Crossroads is all about energy!  Audiences can’t help but
react to the excitement that pours off the stage as these
five talented players concentrate mind, body and soul 100%
on the music they love!  When a Crossroads show is over,
the audience knows they have just seen a band give
everything it has to the performance!!  Shouts of “One
more!,” and “Don’t stop!” are common as the sound and light
crew begins to power down for the night.
HOW WE APPROACH OUR SHOWS AND VENUES:

We approach our gigs as professionals, whether the
venue is big or small.  We show up early enough to set up
our own sound and light systems and test them well
before show time.  We don’t treat the gig as our time to
get drunk or high.  We also understand that guests
often like to chat with the band, so we make a point
between sets to shake some hands and introduce
ourselves.  And if our host needs us to make special
announcements or serve as MC for a party event, for
example, we’re always ready to help.

Flexibility is also a key part of how we operate.  We don’
t insist on playing at ear-splitting volume, we’re happy to
adjust our speakers or lights as needed, we can work
around difficult staging challenges, and we can even
learn some new songs if our host has something in mind
we don’t know already.
WHAT DO YOU GET WITH CROSSROADS?

Finally, Crossroads is about good times.
Because it’s so obvious to all that we love to
play, audiences quickly get into it with us --
with dancing, singing along, telling us stories
of when they first heard the song we just
played, shaking our tambourines, and making
requests.  Our motto is, if we have fun
playing, the audience will come along with us
for the ride and have a great time, too. Rock
on!
